Full time and part time employment vacancies arise throughout the year, are more frequent from October to December and are less frequent after January each year.

Positions are also advertised in the Geelong Advertiser.

Casual vacancies arise for relief staff in the field of Early Childhood Education throughout the year.

Qualification requirements

All positions require citizenship status or a valid visa with the right to work in Australia. Staff are also expected to have a good working knowledge of information technology and systems including internet and email access.

Kindergarten Teachers are required to hold recognised academic qualifications, screening and operational training including:

A three year Early Childhood teaching qualification (minimum) as approved by the Victorian Branch of the Australia Early Childhood Association,

A current First Aid Certificate - Level 2 or higher,

Provide and maintain a current Police Record Check and a current WWC Check,

Complete the GKA Nominee Process, and

Current knowledge of the Children’s Services Act and Regulations

Position description and selection criteria - Teacher.

Three year old programme Co-ordinators require:

A three year Early Childhood teaching qualification or two year Early Childhood qualification as published in the Government Gazette,

First Aid Certificate Level 2 or higher

Provide and maintain a current Police Record Check and a current WWC Check.

Complete the GKA Nominee Process

Current knowledge of the Children’s Services Act and Regulations

Position description and selection criteria - Teacher-Coordinator

Kindergarten Assistants require:

Previous experience working with children and families

First Aid Certificate Level 2 or higher

Provide and maintain a current Police Record Check and a current WWC Check.

Complete the GKA Nominee Process

Current knowledge of Children’s Services Act and Regulations
